This is scary. I just got woken up by my “to do” list again!
This is scary.
My short-term memory is getting really short. It is not only that I forgot about things that I need to do, but when I am interrupted, I lost my chain of thought.
I was suppose to upload this blurb for the longest time that a colleague of my has agreed to provide me with. Of course, everyone of us is busy and such “not so important tasks” tend to slip our mind.
Not good.
Today, I’ve received a reminder from the 6 level-ers through my boss that I need to publish that blurb on the corp website. Not the first time that such things have happened. It was made worse that this task is probably classified under the totally not important task under the staff of that the 6 level-er.
Anyway, the thought of uploading a promotional banner today has been interrupted continuously by a series of more important tasks today:
- An eCard app which my not-so-Original-&-Meticulous-award-winning-agency has initiated with an ultimate short production timelime- 3 weeks. They are very spontaneous one. Thank god that I have a uber capable vendor.
- Clarifications and more clarifications on workplan.
- Seeking blessings from my boss on another potential collaboration.
- Working out my responses to a proposal by my not-so-Original-&-Meticulous-award-winning-agency. I will touch on this another day. The proposal totally contradicts the fundamentals of social media and could possibly put my organisation’s credibility at stake.
Now, in the wee hours of 29 Oct 08, I am being woke up by my internal reminder settings for my to do list that I have to send out this banner. You know, it’s like the Nokia scheduler that reminds you before a scheduled meeting starts. My body clock is probably malfunctioning?
Anyway, it is a good thing that I have finally “got the ball outside my court” at about 3 am plus before I forgot about it again. So there shouldn’t be any reminder from any 6 level-ers for this banner.
Time to re-esablish my todoist again, though it can be potentially daunting!
