View of Marina Bay Circuit from the top!

Where on earth can you catch F1 night racing in a Street Circuit and to even view it from 165 metres above the ground?

Only in Singapore!

Clauds and I got a pair of the tickets each from 24seven to experience F1 at the Singapore Flyer last Saturday (Qualifying Race) and we brought Cl0udi3 and Qiquan along with us! Even though I just had my virgin Singapore Flyer visit just one Saturday before this, I was extremely excited when I was notified that I’ve been given the Singapore Flyer F1 Level 1 Access tickets! While we were recalled back last minute to work full day on Saturday at the office, this did not dampen our mood for this event!

Given to the massive road closure in town, the package includes a 2-way Hippo River Cruise ride which brought us from Clarke Quay to the Singapore Flyer! We had 2 rides on the Singapore Flyer – one before the race and 1 during the race! While the actual Level 1 Access package only comes with 1 Singapore Flyer ticket, we had the Media Passes which entitle us unlimited rides!

The view from the top was great, but too bad, my Sony Cybershot H20 did not really perform very well this time round as the vehicles move really fast! We could still hear the engine sound from the top! Since the Singapore Flyer ride was about 30 minutes, we had the remaining 20 minutes to view the F1 racing at the ground level.

This is when I got to know the reason of it being called the “Level 1 package” – Sorry, no access to level 2 viewing area, ok? So in the end, we braved through the loud noise produced by the F1 vehicles without any ear plugs and positioned ourselves pretty near to the race track!

It was great to experience F1 in person at the event ground! More photos can be found in my flickr set! This is a truly “Uniquely Singapore” experience where you can’t get anywhere else! A big thank you to 24Seven for having us there!

Was at the Puma “RED in My Head” Circuit Party last evening together with Claudia, Jayden and Nadia! We were all dressed in RED for the event! A big thank you to Claudia for bring me along!

Red Dome outside St. James Powerhouse

The event was held at the carpark outside St. James Powerhouse where they erected a red dome specially for this event! We refused to move out to the outdoor area after we got in there as it was pretty warm outside…

Booze!

There were lots of booze, ranging from Whiskey, Wine, Vodka, Beer and Champagne, and the music was great! Nope, I did not binge drink yesterday night, though the drink servers were very diligent in topping up my drink! One sip and you see them topping up the drink! Poor Nadia was still nursing her stomach, so all she had was FIJI water.

When Kimi Räikkönen made his appearance at the event, the crowd went crazy! Lots of people were busy snapping photos of him. My photos did not really turn out well for him, but hey! I took a video instead!

Puma Models

After Kimi Räikkönen left, it followed by a PUMA Motorsports fashion show! All of the models are very tall, so I didn’t take pictures with them. Hee Hee. My height is only 1.68m can?

I also got to meet some of the Friends of Puma at the event! They are a bunch of very friendly people! Nice meeting you guys

At one point, Claudia and I was playing with the glowstick app on our iPhones and we danced with it. LOL! Closeted Ah Beng and Ah Lian, like what Nadia have said! Hmm. Someone took a video of us doing it. Keeping my finger-crossed…

I would say last evening was a major camwhoring session! We took photos… and more photos! I am looking forward to seeing the photos by the rest! Catch the rest of the photos taken at the event on my flickr set.

Brooooom Brooooooom!

Wow! I must say the experience on the SingTel F1 simulator was the ride of my life! Never in my life that I ever had a racing game that gave me a flavour of a car crashing! Guess this is why the indemnity form is for!

This is the first time that I felt like a blogger when I got invited by @nanyate to this exclusive blogger event organised by SingTel. LOL! Cheap thrill… but I really took the risk of putting myself in a bad light just to attend this event!

Do we look cool in this? I tell you… This is a mobile sauna! I really pity those F1 racers who have to drive in such a tropical weather while wearing this suit!

Oh, did I mention that driving this monster, i.e. the F1 simulator, is not easy? View the video to take a look how @qiquan felt at the last bit of the race… Thank god no one took a video of me… I certainly look much stressed!
