Migraine? Fever!

Damn. I’ve been haunted by Migraine since Thursday night. Glad that it is all over, for now.

This morning went to see my Family Doc and guess what? He is out of town till tomorrow. My migraine can’t wait, so saw the relieve doc. When he first heard that I have migraine and have certified by National Neurological Centre, he asked me whether I am a perfectionist. His experiences with most Migraine patients tell him so. Migraine sufferers tend to “punish themselves” if things failed to happen in the way they wanted to. He advised me that I must learn to live in this imperfect world.

Perhaps I am a closeted perfectionist. I’ll try to move on when things don’t happen in the way I wanted to. But maybe deep inside me, I did not move on?

Oh well, I went to Eu Yan Sang TCM clinic in the afternoon when the medications failed to ease the pain caused by the migraine. Sinseh Leong asked me a few questions and the last was whether I have a fever. I said I don’t think so and he took my temp and it turned out to be 37.5 deg! He said all the pain that I am getting is due to my fever.

My temp increased to 38 deg after 1 hr upon reaching home. Took the medications and hid myself under the blanket with no air conditioning or fan and slept for 2 hrs. I could feel the sweat oozing out of my skin and my temp went down to 37 deg and migraine is off!

Glad that I’ve made the right choice to go down to South Bridge Road to see Sinseh Leong.
