Never in my life that I ever got to witness a martial arts fight! Together with Clauds and DK, we had the chance to catch the Martial Combat at Resorts World™ Sentosa on June 17! Real blood and bruises, and that’s no child’s play. Nothing like your Ah Beng fights in Secondary Schools.

Touted as Asia’s Ultimate Mixed Martial Arts Fighting Championship, it features a total of 12 events, comprising 60 fights per year over 3 years and will feature some of the most popular and celebrated fighters from around the world.

These were the fighters what took part on the June 17 match, except for Do Won Seo who was replaced with Japanese-based American Isamu Himura at the last minute.

What left the most impression in me was the match between Muhsin Corbbrey and Wu Cheng Jie – The latter was in a very bad shape when the match ended – His face was full of bruises.

Next up on Martial Combat…

The upcoming 2 matches in July will be happening on 14 & 15 July and held at Resorts World™ Sentosaa Compass Ballroom. This time round they will be having female fighters and one of them is the current female world champion – Claire Haigh.

Aramsa Spa

Did you know that there is a Spa, Dining and Bar establishment in Bishan Park II?

Well, I did not know until Glenn and Melvin from 20Twenty invited a few of us like DK, Holly Jean and Nicole for some drinks at Canopy and to tour around Aramsa – The Garden Spa.

DK is a happy man!

No no… This beer glass is only for display! DK was a good boy that night even though we had free flow of drinks!

Huli Huli Chicken

We tried some of the finger food offered by Canopy Bar and one of it was the “Huli Huli Chicken” (Marinated Chicken Leg, Grilled Pineapple and Kamako Sauce). The chicken was pretty tender and we had a few rounds of it!

Aramsa Spa - Couple Room

Offering a wide range of spa treatments like Massage, Exfoliation, Detox and Water Therapy, Aramsa Spa was named “Best Spa Experience” in Tourism Awards 2006! Each of us have been offered a redemption voucher to try out their Signature Treatment – The 1-hour Aramsa Touch Massage. I’ve yet to try it out due to my busy schedule though.

Super Junior was in Singapore on 6 Jun 2010 for the SingTel Samsung Galaxy S Media Launch and performed LIVE at the Showcase held at Marina Bay Sands!

The short 3 min rendezous with the Samsung Galaxy S got me fall in love with it! Running on Android 2.1 OS, it is designed to allow users around the world to experience the “Smart Life”, which will change the way people view smartphones and how they interact with them to enhance their daily lives.

I love the Super AMOLED display and its ability to turn into a Mobile Access Point – i.e. making your Samsung Galaxy S as a portable WIFI HOTSPOT! The screen and Android 2.1 OS were pretty responsive too!

At the moment, the Samsung Galaxy S is carried exclusively by SingTel until further notice. The Samsung Galaxy S is available from $0 to $398, depending on the type of Galaxy 3G Plans that subscribe to with a 2 year contract.

Super Junior LIVE in Singapore

According to CNA, about 1,600 fans turned up for the Super Junior Showcase! While I did not take any video, I did take some decent pictures at the Media Launch as well as at the Showcase! Check out my facebook album to view them!

I would like to thank DK, SingTel and Samsung for the invite to the media launch of Samsung Galaxy S! It will be great if SingTel or Samsung can extend me a Samsung Galaxy S review set to give it a more in-depth review!

If you have caught my tweet last night, you may be wondering what was going on.

I was invited to the “Nokia Insider Night: Are You Game?” event held at Hairloom and Caramel where they showcase the latest game offerings developed by Breakdesign.

We had fun playing with the latest free “bus stop” games offered in the Nokia Ovi Store like “Ninjani” and “That Roach Game South Africa”, using the recent Nokia devices such as X6, N900, N97 and N97 mini. We were also given a try at the yet-to-be-released game “Monsterilla”.

My personal favourite was “That Roach Game South Africa” where all I do is to crush cockroaches. Probably a good way to end a bad day, eh? But I can’t do as well as Chester. He can be the “Margaret Chan” cos he was the top scorer of the mini competition at the event!

The other game was “Ninjani” where you are suppose to kill the ninja and if you fail to kill them, they will kill you.

Monsterilla is one game that is yet to be released and even Nokia’s Regional Services Marketing Manager in Asia Pacific, Nelson Wee only got to first try it earlier in the day! This game that reminds me of “Bejewelled”.

Instead of following the audio instructions from an Mp3 file, the Health Promotion Board has partnered MediaCorp Radio 987FM to execute this “Great Audio Experience” through… Yup, pretty obvious…. The Radio!

On 29 May 2010, all participants and celebrity guests will tune in to 987FM at 4.30pm and follow the audio instructions from 987FM DJ Mister Young! We will be involved in a series of fun activities to live it up without lighting up – in a moving flash mob that will end up at Plaza Singapura.

An impromptu dinner outing with Cl0udi3, Qiquan and Clauds! Clauds made her way there on her own without getting lost! Yay!

I particularly like the “1 egg soup” and the Straight Cut Sour Cream Fries! The ham & cheese sandwich tasted yummy too!

Finally waiting for my flight to Bangkok (BKK)! Was rushing some long-overdue work  till 12.30am and had to wake up at 4am to catch my 7.10am flight! The good thing is I will be able to sleep well tonight, but I just hope that I don’t get a migraine attack.

Feeling excited now, I mean, FINALLY I am feeling excited about this trip. Just got an email from Fabian that we will be heading over to Chatuchak together after I have settled my accommodation!

I think BKK is turning into a mini Singapore. Everyone seems to be heading there or already there now! Saw my colleague’s facebook update last night on the cool tees that she saw at Chatuchak. One of them is the “Facebook Addict” tee – I am so getting to HUNT that tee lor!

Remember the Samsung Food Photography workshop that I have attended previously? The folks from Samsung and Edelman were kind enough to loan me a Samsung Pixon 12 to complete the review! Will bringing the set with me to shoot the yummy food! To date, I am quite impressed by the camera of Samsung Pixon 12.

I am probably going to tweet as I roam around in BKK with Jayden, Fabian, Nadnut and “Ching Chong Boy” (aka CCB), provided I can get the 3G prepaid service! Yay!!!

Have you watched Little Nyonya before? Guess this drama has created a lot of buzz about the Peranakan Culture when it was telecasted in 2008. While I am not a fan of this drama due to overacting by some of the cast, it did intrigue me to make my first trip to the Peranakan Museum in December 2008.

The Museum is the first in the world to explore Peranakan cultures in the former Straits Settlements of Singapore, Malacca and Penang and their links with other Penarakan communities in Southeast Asia.

On 20 Nov 09, I’ve made my second trip to the Peranakan Museum by the invitation of Hisham and the Peranakan Association to be part of the Big Baba Blogout! No doubt this is my second visit to the museum, I was able to capture the artifacts from a different perspective. But is visiting the Peranakan Museum the best way to experience the Penarakan culture? It will be even better if you are able to immerse the culture yourself
