A meaningful Social Media Brunch 5

2008 December 13
by Victor TAN

I always hate to drag myself up on Saturday mornings. Well, today is the day for the Social Media Brunch, so I had to wake up earlier :)

Today’s session took place with the older format – No agenda, free and easy and just interact!  The event was kindly sponsored by Samsung and everyone had fun eating and chatting. Some were catching up too, like Kel and me. Some were playing with Wii. KC and I also found the person who has been working on one of our HPB projects! And, I finally got to know Dorothy, the lady whom I have heard so much about at the Digital Communications Course which I had attended last week!

So… what’s so meaningful with all these eating and conversations?

We were introduced to Samsung Hope by Daniel.  Samsung Hope is an initiative to help the needy kids. It doesn’t ask you and me to donate, only for our support by pledging. The 3 local beneficiaries are:

  • Singapore Children’s Society
  • MILK – Mainly I Love Kids
  • The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund

You only need to log on to Samsung Hope, add your pledge and you can help to decide the percentage of the funds that are going to the beneficiaries.

Not too hard, isn’t it? I’ve pledged. Will you?
