笑得自然 (Smile Naturally)
2009 January 14
Remember this song? It was intensively blasted on Channel 8 during prime time belt about 10 years ago. It was this song that started Evelyn Tan’s (陈毓芸) music career, though it ended shortly after the whole shake up of Singapore’s media landscape. Though it sounded rather raw, the tune and lyrics are attractive enough for me to repeat this song again and again.
I love the simplicity of this tune and the lyrics sounded really innocent to me. I would say this is a “feel good” song for one who still tries to be him/herself in this political world. Can one be really be himself or herself?
I don’t know. Do you have the answer?
